It tells the story of three very different families vying to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the Ice Age series (2002 to present). I was surprised that the series was rated so poorly, but it made more sense after reading many reviews about why they didn’t get past the first episode. The series is a slow-moving mystery fun that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it too funny and entertaining with a tone tailored specifically to Liz Feldman that I enjoy. I really like the cast and everyone’s performance. I wasn’t convinced by Ray Romano at first as I was biased (I couldn’t separate him from « Everybody Loves Raymond » for the life of me), but that settled down pretty quickly. All the different characters have their own sub-stories that create a tangled web of chaos that is gradually, if not completely, unraveled. As of the last episode, I was pretty engrossed in the story, even though I figured out the big twist very early on. I’m not upset about that, though. I’d love to see more of this series and really hope there’s a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly—here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
