Part of the corrections were indeed to the place, but other changes show that Dice hit a new extreme: they do not defend their ideas, but simply go where at least a significant part of the players requires at least some. For example, I really liked the idea to balance the game so that from crazy shooters it turns into a prudent survival, where users should think and worry about their own safety, and not headlong to rush in a long time.

The key mechanics of this system remained in place. Cartridges and first -aid kits do not lie anywhere, you have to be more accurate, from time to time to request the help of a medic or support soldier. But at the same time, the game where I and other journalists from all over the planet spent about ten tense hours in two days of presentation, in terms of insanity was much closer to Battlefield 1 , than the one in which the whole world played at the beta testing stage.

Another consequence of the desire to please everyone around (this time, of course, useful) is that Dice has completely processed the game code so that almost no updates require the loading of new patches. Now they make changes directly to game servers, and we are talking not only about possible re -balance, but also about the full control of game modes. For example, if Dice decides to rebuild or expand the number of missions in “large operations”, transfer them to other parts of the card, completely shove their essence – they can do all this on the move without forcing the players to pump gigabytes in patches.

Perhaps the most important change for me as a player was the complete processing of weapons behavior compared to weapons in Battlefield 1. If briefly, then earlier the explosion of the bullets was subordinate to the generator of random numbers, because of which you could see with your own eyes that you were at the target, but the damage still did not apply. Now, each gun is separate separately, and there is no more chance: you can get used to the ballistics of each gun, and blame the GSC in the misses will no longer be possible.

In addition, Dice took into account the community claims that not all regimes are suitable for all cards. There will be eight locations on the release, and each of them is configured to accept only those events that are compatible with it. For example, you will see some of the landscapes only in the same "large operations".

There was another completely new one for a series of mechanics, because of which it suddenly began to be compared with Fortnite. Now any player, regardless of the class, is able to dig a trench, create a shelter from bags of sand, put a turret, barrel wire or box with cartridges. But, unlike creation Epic Games , In BF5, you cannot create anything you like: any changes are possible only in strictly designated places, and there is no variability here. Nevertheless, the gameplay changes dramatically: for example, by default an open point can be built up so that only one narrow passage remains on it, which is much easier to control. This, of course, will not hurt enemy grenades and technology, but ordinary soldiers still like.

The role of team actions has also increased greatly. Your detachment consists of four soldiers, and if you want to win, then you will not go without cooperation. For two days we played four Russian -speaking journalists, and we reached several most epic victories precisely thanks to constant voice communication and clear planning of actions. At the same time, oddly enough, the functionality of three out of four grades works for the entire team of thirty -two people, and not just for your four.

Either we relaxed a little, or, on the contrary, opponents gathered with strength, but how were we tortured to defend this station in Rotterdam ..

For example, support soldiers can share cartridges with any allies (and they also build fortifications faster). Doctors are the only ones who are able to raise any wounded comrades, and not just those with whom they are in the detachment. Well, the scouts now know how to put the beacon of the Renaissance anywhere in the card, and the whole team will also be able to use it. This allows you to deliver a massive blow to the enemy point from an unexpected direction, which greatly facilitates its capture.

Do not care about all this to attack aircraft. They simply do their job: they destroy enemies as effectively as possible. True, they still will not go far away: the cartridges are not endless, and health does not restore itself, but you will fall – you will writhe with pain and call the mother for at least a few seconds before the game releases revives. By default, Battlefield v offers eight cards and several modes, where the usual is not enough “assault”, but it will be added in the second season, which will be held from January to March. Here, as in the "landing", a new system of fortifications is also very important.

On the third "day" the battle takes place in random mode. And if, according to the results of three battles, the teams are approximately equal, the fourth round begins – The Final Stand, or “Last Fight”. Everything is straightforward here: no revives, no mercy, and the combat zone is gradually narrowing. The team, which will completely destroy the opponent, win throughout the "big operation".

All for the sake of pumping

The player’s development system was also seriously shoveled. Now you are developing in five independent parameters, each of which is pumped depending on your game style.

The pumping of the level opens new ranks, currency, as well as some types of technology. Pumping inside each of the four classes will allow you to get new types of weapons for them, development paths (at the start of them are four), gadgets, arms roles and customizer items. Using a certain type of weapon, you will develop it: here is customization and light tuning for your game preferences. When playing on a certain technique, you will find new opportunities for its configuration. Finally, passing the “heads” – seasonal free updates – you will get everything that will be contained from new guns to new hats.

In addition, the game development system has its own name: Tides of War, or “The course of the war”. “Heads”-renewal during the life of Battlefield v will be associated not only with new content, but also with the history of the Second World War.
