This series has been around since 2018, but I just watched it for the first time
Last night, I finished the first episode of the first season, which is nearly 90 minutes long. As for the introduction of the Dutton family, we see that they have a lot of influence in their valley, but they are fending off “attacks.” One from developers who want to build condos. Another from the neighboring Native reservation who wants to reclaim some of their land as well as cattle. Dutton (played authentically by Kevin Costner, 60) has several grown Cowboy sons and a helicopter with a dedicated pilot to help him cope with that and the size of the ranch.

) it was to feel the Dutton family as I am currently watching ten episodes of Taylor Sheridan’s new show « 1883 » which is sort of a prequel. (Fiction) It was in 1883 that the Dutton family from Tennessee joined a larger group to head « somewhere west » from Fort Worth, Texas. Again, this is fiction, but given the ages of the men and the fact that Costner was born in 1955, his character would likely be the great-grandson of the Dutton patriarch (played by Tim McGraw) in « 1883 ». For example.
With sons born in 1875, 1900, 1925 and the 1950s
« Yellowstone » is a very good series, the actors are all excellent, the cinematography and sound are also excellent. It’s just not the kind of show I can invest in and continue to watch. It’s hard to find characters with redeeming qualities, and I don’t really like long-running shows that constantly focus on arguing, fighting and often murder. Now in my 70s, I prefer the « nice » side of the stories.
